    Course Overview
    The program is to provide an insight and hands-on training for general dentist to cope with some difficult dento-alveolar site for immediate implant placement.  An evidence based implant audit program will also introduce to the candidate for outcome monitoring for a successful implant practice. A sound concept of surgical dentistry with a didactic approach to understand an implant patient pathology both locally and systemically will be highlighted. Advanced grafting technique will be illustrated by video demonstration and hands-on training on pig-jaws to let the participant to learn or adopt a sound basic skills especially competence in performing localized socket grafting procedure for immediate implant placement. To complete the curriculum of NobelActive implant in oral rehabilitation, full arch to full mouth rehabilitation will be discussed.

    Course objective:
    • Full cases presentation from Diagnosis-Surgery-Temporization-Finish for complex cases (Full arch to Full mouth)
    • Surgical Dentistry an overview of dental implant patients
    • Medical Profile analysis including concurrent medical problems and drug therapy appraisal
    • Dental Status assessment- glimpse of contraindications
    • Gnathological considerations: ie TMJ status/Dentoskeletal status
    • Pre-existing oral pathologies (mucosal/bony)- competence in pre-surgical diagnosis
    • Therapeutic protocol for office-based surgical dentistry- antibiotics selection/analgesic/sedation
    • Management of Complications associated with dental implant surgery- immediate to long-term (surgical and prosthetic)
    • Intra-oral bone grafting procedures- my rationale (Lateral Maxilla Sinus lift/Internal Sinus lift/Onlay graft augmentation)
    • Sound principle of socket preparation and socket grafting for immediate implant placement
    • Evidence based dental implant auditing – How to establish your personnel clinical audit to present a predictable outcome by a special designed Excel implant log
