Zygoma implant concept – immediate full-arch prosthetic rehabilitation

Yorba Linda, United States : 14/ott/2016
  • Panoramica del corso

Edentulous patients and patients with failing dentition who want a fixed prosthetic rehabilitation are very often faced with time-consuming, expensive, and uncomfortable bone grafting procedures. The perceived complexity of rehabilitation is a great obstacle to treatment acceptance for these patients and many dental clinicians as well. The All-on-4® treatment concept was developed by Nobel Biocare to eliminate many of the difficulties facing patients and clinicians.

At times we are faced with further challenges requiring use of other advanced techniques to acquire posterior anchorage for a full-arch prosthesis. The Brånemark System® Zygoma implant addresses the situations where posterior support cannot be achieved with the traditional All-on-4® treatment concept. In this course, the rehabilitation of a fully edentulous patient is performed live utilizing the All-on-4® treatment concept with Zygoma implants, an innovative technique that allows for an immediate-function, full-arch, implant-supported prosthesis without the need for any bone grafting procedures, even in atrophic situations. In a short time the attendees will observe complete rehabilitation of the patient, by delivery of a highly functional and esthetic solution supported by four implants in anatomically strategic positions and angles, thus dramatically increasing the quality of life for the patient.

The clinician will highlight surgical protocol and key aspects to consider during the live surgery. An optional hands-on workshop will be available.

This course is intended for clinicians with extensive experience in placing dental implants.

After this two-day course, the participant will…
    – Learn how to make impressions and jaw relation records.
    – Implement clinical checklist for try-in.
    – Efficiently implement framework try-in and evaluation.
    – Understand delivery of the definitive restorations and maintenance.
    – Familiarize themselves with the surgical and prosthetic protocols for the Brånemark System Zygoma implant concept.
