    This course is designed to familiarise participants with the everyday practice of implant treatment. This course will address how to place implants in an ideal 3-dimensional position with proper soft and hard tissue thickness. Participants will learn the following procedures: socket augmentation, immediate implant placement and immediate temporarization when recommended.

    This course combines didactic lectures and hands-on workshop with models to cover variety implant related surgical procedures: implant placement, immediate implant placement, socket augmentation and simple bone augmentation In addition, live videos/live demonstrations will be used to illustrate all these procedures.

    This course is designed for clinicians involved in both surgical and prosthetic aspects of advanced implant treatment.

    Learning objectives
    After completion of this one day continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
    • Know how to incorporate implant therapy into their daily practice
    • Alveolar socket classification for immediate implant placement.
    • Learn step-by-step surgical sequence and clinical tips associated with immediate implant placement.
    • Know the concept of ideal implant 3D position.
    • Rationale and techniques for creating implant provisionals.
    • The science and controversies behind immediate loading implants.
    • Soft tissue management around immediately placed implants
    • Management of the perio-restorative interface and creation of a scalloped architecture.
    • Be familiar with the newly introduced materials, pros and cons, for all these procedures.
