Full immersion on implant esthetics

Bellaire, United States : 05/05/2016
  • Course overview

This two-day course is to provide the attendees with not only a deep theoretical knowledge but more importantly an interactive hands-on experience. Attendees will gain a thorough understanding of the management of single-tooth implants in the esthetic zone in order to maximize the peri-implant soft-tissue esthetics around the final restorations – a critical element for achieving gingival integration and esthetic success.

    Day 1 – May 5, Thursday
Lecture I: New trends and concepts for treating single-tooth implants – Part 1
Immediate implant placement criteria and concept.
    – “The art of compensating resorption” from previous to contemporary concept.
    – Setting the goals for a smooth treatment delivery.
    – Blueprint concept, anticipating predictable results.
    – Different surgical stent fabrications and concepts.
    – Tooth extraction and alternatives.
    – Ideal implant placement and implant selection.
    – 3D bone packing, technique, and concept.
    – Abutment selection and prosthetic protocol.
    – Sequencing and soft-tissue grafting techniques.
    – Long-term esthetic results.

Hands-on workshop I: Decision process for the prosthetic protocol on immediate implant placement, using a real case
    – Master cast fabrication.
    – Silicone matrices fabrication.
    – Ideal implant placement on master cast based on scanner.
    – Emergence profile configuration for abutment fabrication.
    – From provisional abutment fabrication to final abutment steps.
    – Demonstration of surgical stent fabrication.
    – Abutment and stent disinfection protocols.

    Day 2 – May 6, Friday
Video I (surgery): Immediate single-tooth implant placement in the esthetic zone, from Day 1 hands-on workshop case

Lecture I: Wrap-up video on the immediate implant treatment from surgery to final delivery, illustrating the overall treatment concept presented in the course

Lecture II: New trends and concepts for treating single-tooth implants – Part 2
    – Delayed implant placement criteria and concept.
    – The importance of connective tissue graft around implants.
    – From previous to contemporary protocols.
    – Ideal 3D implant placement.
    – Incision designs and flap management.
    – Slim concept, a new alternative to solve defects.
    – Soft-tissue management, surgically to prosthetically guided.
    – Timing and concept for abutment selection.
    – Emergence profile configuration and concept.

Video II: Wrap-up video on delayed implant treatment from surgery to final delivery, illustrating the overall treatment concept presented in the course

Hands-on workshop II: Graft harvesting techniques and surgical management on pig heads
