    This part-time course is aimed at practitioners with little/no implant dentistry experience. All graduates who attain the Diploma will have developed the knowledge and skills to plan, treat and maintain a range of straightforward partially and fully edentate patients. The course satisfies the requirements of UK Training Standards in Implant Dentistry.

    ·    Patients are provided by us
    ·    Essential evidence-based knowledge to understand the principles of hard and soft tissue integration, with a thorough grounding in the systemic and local factors which need to be taken account at the planning stages.
    ·    Skills simulation training in placement of dental implants, guided bone regeneration and restorative component familiarisation using animal and human cadaver material, and prosthetic models.
    ·    Clinical training in patient assessment, treatment planning, surgical implantation and prosthetic restoration of dental implants including full use of digital radiographic scanning and implant planning software.
    ·    An understanding of the requirements for introducing implant dentistry into the dental practice setting.
    ·    Bring a dental nurse from your own team to skills training workshops and clinics (at no additional cost). Nurses (who are awarded verifiable CPD)  receive instruction in surgical and restorative implant procedures, as well as becoming familiar with implant product handling.

    The course extends over 18 months with a total of 40 contact days.
